Sunday - September 28th, 2008

Pretty calm weekend so far.  Came back to Baltimore for a few days.  Really good to see the family!  Friday I stopped by my grandmothers to talk about school and such, then headed to the www.interstatemag.com's studio in Camden to talk about the upcoming Orlando trip and what the future holds for the company.  After the meeting I went home to unpack and catch up with my father. 

Saturday I went helped my father (an electrician) with a 16ft step ladder, a little too big for 1 person to carry!  Then headed over to Service Photo Supply to get some fun little cords and to rent a light meter.  On Monday and maybe Tuesday I will be shooting a mock annual report for an assignment.  I'll be shooting at the Shock Trauma Hospital downtown, and part of the assignment has to be done using a large format camera - with no built in light meter.  I made the small unfortunate mistake of leaving my light meter in PA so I had to rent one from Service Photo.  15 bucks for 4 days, it's worth it - hope the photos come out!  Headed home to play around with the lighting setup in the basement & a new jacket.

Today, Sunday - I made the poor decision of sleeping in until 2pm, wasting the day away...  Headed over to Vu Skateshop to say "hey" to Gary, Co-Owner of the shop and to meet up with the Co-Owner of Interstatemag.com to square some things away with some photos!  I came home around 6pm for a little family dinner, procrastinated, then shot some photos of "fashion accessories" for my fashion class.  I'm not finished shooting the accessories yet, but it's 3am and I should probably go to sleep!  Hopefully I'll get the rest done after I go to the hospital tomorrow!

Thursday - August 25th, 2008

Again...took no photos today, but I emptied some photos off of a memory card that was lingering around in my camera bag.

A few days ago, I took some random photos in my room...trying to see what color correction does to an image.  Here are some of the pics.   Still no clue how to go about doing the color correction though!

Wednesday - September 24th, 2008

Got up and went to my Marketing class this afternoon, always fun.  Then hung around and went to the Student Photographers Society meeting at 5pm where I am serving on the board as the treasurer...pretty neat!  Around 6pm I went with the Kupres sisters to the track, listened to some music, and ran in circles!  Then headed back to the apartment for dinner & emails!

No pics today either :-(

Didn't take any pictures today, but I did re-organize the photos on my desktop so I figure I'd post some of them.  

These out door shots are from Friday, Sept 12 in my lighting class at 9am.  We were learning out to use outdoor lighting mixed with a reflector, pretty fun.  Our class met across the street from our school is an amazing park filled with a pond, fields, jogging/biking path, kids park, benches, streams, and amazing places to take pictures!

I modeled for Erin (can't spell her last name, sorry Erin!) before I shot some photos of my own.

After taking some pics at the park, it began to rain...boohoo.

So we headed back to the classroom to finish off the lesson, then off to lunch before Visual Communication class in the afternoon.  When the afternoon class was finished, Erin and I headed over to the Philadelphia Cricket Club to shoot our assignment for another class.  The assignment is to take a photo describing the word "tranquility."

Monday - September 22, 2008

Wow, over 2o some days since my last post, yikes!  I've been internet-less since I moved to Philadelphia.  Sadly the wirelessness chip on my computer doesn't work, so I'm tied down by an ethernet cord while I surf the net!  

Schools been pretty fun, already getting assignments to shoot in each class.  Good to see everyone from last school year also.  

In early August I shot a sequence of Gary Smith doing a halfcab bigspin bluntslide at ridge - and it make it in an Ergophobia add in this months Transworld Skateboarding Magazine.  Pretty excited!  Thanks Gary!

I've been taking a bunch of photos lately, I'll try and post some soon!

Picked up my new pair of glasses today.  Pretty exhilarating!  They look just like my old frames, but a 1/4 inch shorter in width.  

Today was packing day.  I move into my apt. in PA tomorrow for photo school.  

Here's our living room layed out with all the stuff I'm bringing.  The most important belongings to bring was the camera bag at the bottom of the photo.

Got up early and met up with Steve Batton to skate some spots.  

Met up with Gary Smith and Chad Butler later in the day too!

We got a lot of photos today - but sadly their not on my computer as I'm posting this.  When I get internet in my apt. at photo school, I'll be posting a lot more!
